24 May – 15 June 2025: Darwin Street Art Festival Transforms Northern Australia into an Open-Air Gallery

From 24 May to 15 June 2025, the Darwin Street Art Festival (DSAF) will once again animate the streets of Darwin, in Australia‘s Northern Territory, with bold color, cultural expression, and creative energy. Taking place on Larrakia land, this celebrated annual event turns the tropical city into a living gallery, showcasing the work of both local and international street artists.

Since its founding in 2017, DSAF has grown into one of Australia’s most dynamic and community-driven street art festivals. Delivered by Proper Creative, the festival is led by artists David Collins and Jesse Bell, whose roots in Darwin’s graffiti and street art scene continue to shape the event’s authenticity and relevance.

Over three vibrant weeks, DSAF will unveil up to 20 new large-scale murals, adding to a collection that already includes 129 artworks created by some of the world’s most recognized urban artists. In addition to the mural trail, the festival features interactive workshops, public events, and artist activations, all free and open to the public.

DSAF is proudly supported by the Northern Territory Government through Activate Darwin, along with a network of sponsors committed to celebrating public art and community connection.

For travelers interested in responsible tourism and authentic cultural engagement, the Darwin Street Art Festival is an unmissable opportunity to explore the rich creative landscape of Australia’s Top End, through the lens of its walls.
