Madagascar : Walking Along the Avenue of the Baobabs at Dusk
Have you ever stumbled upon a photo of such a beautiful place and thought: “I have to go there!”? The Avenue of Baobabs in Madagascar is one of them. Located on the west coast of Madagascar, this iconic location is a must-visit. It is the highlight of every trip to “Red Island”. Getting there is an adventure in itself! Between 20 and 25 baobab trees, known locally as Renala (which means “Mother of the Forest” in Malagasy), line a 260-meter-long dirt road. Some of the trees on the avenue are said to be 2,800 years old and reach an impressive height of 30 metres, this is actually one of the places that is better in real life than it looks in photos.
