Kenya outstanding local initiative : Digiken, the Digital Platforms
DigiKen, an acronym for Digital Platforms Kenya, is a revolutionary 36-month project spearheaded by the United Nations and a group of collaborators. Its main objective is to assist in the creation of domestic digital platforms that can boost Kenya’s social and economic development in a sustainable manner, with a focus on vulnerable populations like women, youth, and communities in arid and semi-arid areas as well as urban informal settlements.
..The main objective of the program is to accelerate Kenya’s progress toward meeting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and it is in line with the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework for Kenya. By extending relationships between the public and private sectors, DigiKen will fortify Kenya’s digital ecosystem and guarantee that the most marginalized populations get the rewards of digital transformation.
