Madagascar amazing place: Amber mountain national park

Established in 1958, Amber Mountain National Park spans an 182 km² expanse atop a volcanic mountain range. This rainforest, home to three waterfalls and six volcanic lakes, is a haven for endemic species of flora and animals that can only be found here. When it comes to hiking paths, the trips to and surrounding the waterfalls are highly recommended. On the way back, there are a number of stairs on the road leading to the large waterfall, known as the Grande Cascade. A stroll around Green Lake is a bit cozier and more reflective. Amber Mountain has long since gained popularity as a national park and provides something for everyone, from short, easy treks to longer, more strenuous tours that take several hours.

Those who say they haven’t found anything in Madagascar’s most biodiverse jungle, the Amber Mountain National Park, were probably not even there. There are creatures on practically every tree in Madagascar, and it is the easiest place to find and watch unusual species. Here, novel and unusual species are still found nearly yearly. With over 1000 plant species, rare orchids, enormous nest ferns, and screw palms provide a veritable paradise for those who enjoy the outdoors. There are currently over 25 mammal species, 75 bird species, nearly 60 reptile species, and 25 amphibian species living in the park.
