13 Kenyan Films to Screen at the Zanzibar International Film Festival 2026 This June
Kenya will have a strong presence at the Zanzibar International Film Festival (ZIFF) this June. 13 Kenyan films and series have been selected for screening at the festival happening on 24th-28th June 2026.
ZIFF 2026 will takes place in Stone Town, Zanzibar for its 29th edition. The festival remains one of East Africa’s key cultural platforms. Also known as ‘Festival of the Dhow Countries,’ it will bring together filmmakers, audiences, and industry players from across Africa and beyond. This year’s theme, “AI and the Art of Storytelling,” focuses on how technology is reshaping filmmaking while still protecting culture and identity.
Kenya contributes 12 entries in official competition and one out of competition. The films span features, documentaries, drama series, and short films.
