Kenya : Lake Nakuru

Lake Nakuru is one of the great lakes of the Rift Valley in Kenya, along with Lakes Bogoria and Elmenteita. Perched at more than 1700 meters above sea level, it has long been an essential element of survival for the people and animals living in the region. But his sensitivity to climate threatens him. Several times throughout history, the water level of the lake has dropped drastically. Urban development has also endangered it. It was to protect it that in 1967, the Kenyan government created Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru is the ideal place to enjoy a safari in Kenya. This immense waterhole attracts a lot of wild animals. And as the park is relatively small (190 km²), the concentration there is very dense. This greatly facilitates wildlife observation during safaris.
