Madame Zo and her extraordinary weavings

When he talks about Madame Zo in public, the Franco-Malagasy businessman Hassanein Hiridjee finds it difficult to contain his emotion. And he does not hesitate to say it again and again, it is this Malagasy artist, who has become his friend, who opened the doors of contemporary art to him and who “made him grow personally”. It is therefore not surprising that he decided to pay homage to him by dedicating to him the great inaugural exhibition of the new 2,200 m² space opened by the H Foundation, rue Refotana, in the Ambatomena district, in Antananarivo. Under the mysterious title “Soon I will weave you all”, the work of the visual artist who died on July 13, 2020 occupies, until February 2024, the two floors and the majority of the rooms of this brand new cultural place, now open seven days. on seven and free.
