Muscat Nights 2026: A Winter Escape in Oman You Can Still Experience This Month

If you are looking for a winter destination that combines culture, celebration and a mild climate, Muscat, Oman’s capital,  is shining this season. Running until the end of January, Muscat Nights 2026 transforms the Omani capital into a vibrant urban showcase, blending entertainment, heritage, sport and creativity across the city.

Since its launch, the event has already attracted more than 800,000 visitors, with over 600,000 guests recorded in just the first two weeks, according to the Muscat Municipality, the main organiser.

Muscat Nights unfolds across multiple iconic locations, including Qurum Natural Park, Al Amerat Public Park, Seeb Beach, Quriyat, Wadi Al Khoudh, the Oman Automobile Association and the Royal Opera House Muscat, as well as several major shopping malls partnering with the municipality. This city-wide approach allows travellers to experience Muscat through green spaces, cultural landmarks, seaside venues and lively urban hubs.

At the heart of the season is a celebration of Omani identity and hospitality. Heritage villages showcase traditional crafts, architecture and cuisine, while live performances, folk arts and culinary experiences invite visitors to engage with local culture. Contemporary highlights include the spectacular fountain and light symphony, drone shows illuminating the night sky, an international circus featuring hologram technology, and family-friendly interactive experiences led by Siraj, the event’s emblematic mascot symbolising light and imagination.

With its blend of tradition and modernity, culture and entertainment, Muscat Nights 2026 reinforces Oman’s position as a leading winter destination.

👉 You still have until the end of this month to experience it, making now the perfect time to travel to Muscat and discover the Sultanate at its most dynamic, cultural and welcoming.
