Seychelles and Egypt have initiated a new diplomatic era with a visa waiver agreement for diplomatic and official passport holders
Seychelles and Egypt have entered a new chapter in their diplomatic relationship following the signing of a Visa Waiver Agreement for holders of diplomatic and official passports. The agreement was concluded during a two-day official visit to Cairo from 5 to 6 April 2025, aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation.
During his official visit to Egypt, the Seychellois Minister of Foreign Affairs and Tourism engaged in discussions with Egyptian authorities on various areas of mutual interest, including climate change, maritime security, and capacity building support. He also explored opportunities for health sector cooperation, such as training, recruitment of medical personnel, and pharmaceutical procurement. Additionally, the visit included talks on tourism collaboration, particularly in hospitality training and staff exchanges.
