Tanzania : Hiking The Usambara Mountains
Tanzania’s Usambara Mountains are home to incredible natural beauty. They are located in the Eastern Arc Mountains, often described as one of the most beautiful and diverse mountain ranges in Africa. Made up of three distinct bluestone massifs, these mountains are home to a variety of unique flora and fauna. The area has been inhabited since the Stone Age and is one of the few places in Tanzania still inhabited by indigenous people, including the Zalamo, Pare and Chagga people.
Lushoto is the main town in the region and acts as the entry point to the mountains
