Thailand: The beautiful assets of Trang

The province of Trang alternates small fishing ports, stretches of sand and impressive cliffs. It offers an archipelago of 46 preserved islands, some of which are inhabited by small fishing communities. the province was the first in the kingdom to cultivate the rubber tree and its precious rubber. The first rubber tree planted in 1899 is still visible in the town of Kantang§ Trang has attracted many Chinese immigrants. Their influence is visible in the town of Trang, known for its picturesque traditional shophouses and its gastronomy delighting with dim sum, crispy roast pork and even spicy curry. The weekend and night markets are pleasant opportunities for strolling and blending into local life.
