Devonport in Tasmania has been recognized as Australia’s Top Tourism Town
Premier and Minister for Tourism and Hospitality, Jeremy Rockliff, said:
“Devonport is the vibrant hub of the iconic Cradle Mountain region, an ideal launchpad for day trip exploration and its newly developed waterfront precinct.”
“Our regional communities have some of the best tourism experiences Tasmania has to offer, ranging from agritourism, history and heritage, arts and culture, along with natural landscapes and attractions found nowhere else in the world.”
“Tasmania’s tourism industry is one of our great success stories, employing one in eight Tasmanians, supporting our economy and contributing to our way of life.”
“Visitors come to Tasmania to enjoy unique and authentic experiences where they can meet a producer, learn about the history behind a product and get a taste for farm life, and that’s exactly what these award-winning towns offer.”
