Bangladesh tourism : Best months to go to Bangladesh
Bangladesh, located in South Asia, is bordered by India and the Bay of Bengal. Its climate is mainly tropical and the country experiences three main seasons: winter, summer and monsoon:
Winter (November to February): pleasant temperatures, with average maximums around 25-28 °C. Nights can be cooler, with temperatures around 10-15 °C in the northern regions. This is the driest time of year.
Summer (March to May): high temperatures with average maximums around 30-35 °C, or even higher in some regions. Humidity is high, which can make the atmosphere stifling. Rainfall is rare during this period.
Monsoon (June to October): particularly intense rainfall between June and September. Temperatures remain high, with average maximums around 30-33 °C. Humidity is also very high during this period. Bangladesh is prone to tropical cyclones, especially during the monsoon season. These cyclones can cause torrential rains, floods and destructive storms.
The best time to visit Bangladesh is in winter, especially in January and February to avoid the extreme heat, humidity and risk of cyclones.
