Belmond: the legendary train leaves for Malaysia from Singapore
After a period of suspension, the Belmond Train on the Eastern & Oriental Express, Southeast Asia, has announced its return in February 2024.
The 15 carriages have been redesigned to reflect the surrounding nature and culture of Southeast Asia. Overall, the onboard experience has been improved and more anchored in the destination: there will be a new Peranakan-inspired menu; an evening music program covering Nanyang jazz and Malay music; will be welcomed aboard the premises to offer experiences such as calligraphy lessons or lectures on the provenance of food and local cuisine.
