Bo Suak: Thai village among UN’s “Best Tourist Villages” for 2024
Thailand’s Bo Suak Village has been selected as one of UN Tourism’s Best Tourism Villages for 2024. This recognition signifies Thailand‘s first achievement in this esteemed global initiative.
Located 10 kilometres from the centre of Nan, Bo Suak is home to several ancient pottery kilns. Although no longer in operation, these historical remains are a testament to the importance of ceramic craftsmanship in local history. Once the heart of Bo Suak’s economy, these kilns were used to produce utilitarian and decorative pottery, renowned for its robustness and artistic designs. Although no longer functional, they are carefully preserved and today attract history and cultural heritage enthusiasts.
In addition to its pottery heritage, Bo Suak is a vibrant community that maintains age-old traditions and a peaceful way of life.
