Hartz Mountains National Park

Located 55km southwest of Hobart, the Hartz Mountains National Park promises you wild and well-preserved nature. In the winter season, the park is completely covered with snow. An equally splendid and exotic setting. The park has a small area of about 70km².

When the snow melts in late spring, the waterfalls that surround the park are beautiful and the wildlife abundant. The park is part of the Tasmanian Wilderness Area World Heritage Site.

Various walking or hiking trails offer you the possibility of visiting all the curiosities of the park. The horizon is unobstructed, so you can easily see the bluish mountains. A short easy walk will take you to Lake Esperance, which is quite lovely.

The main attractions of Hartz Mountains National Park in addition to this Lake Esperance, are Waratah Lookout, Arve Falls, Osborne Lake, Hartz Pass and Hartz Peak.
