Zanzibar International Film Festival 2026
The 29th edition of the Zanzibar International Film Festival (ZIFF) will take place from June 24–28, 2026, celebrating cinema, cultural diversity, and the art of storytelling.
Founded in 1997, ZIFF has grown into one of Africa’s most prestigious film festivals, bringing together filmmakers, artists, and audiences from across the world in the heart of Zanzibar.
This year’s theme, “AI and the Art of Storytelling,” highlights the evolving relationship between technology, creativity, and human expression through film.
The festival showcases productions from Africa, the African Diaspora, and the Dhow Countries region, creating a vibrant platform for cultural exchange, artistic dialogue, and emerging talents.
