In Australia, an “extremely important” forest for its biodiversity entrusted to the Aboriginals
It is a historic agreement. The State of Queensland, in Australia, entrusted to the aboriginals of Eastern Kuku Yalanji the ownership of four classified sites: Cedar Bay (Ngalba Bulal), Black Mountain (Kalkajaka), Hope Islands and the famous forest of Daintree, which dates from more than 180 million years old. Which makes it the oldest rainforest in the world!
