Sri Lanka :Udawalawe National Park is home to Asian elephants.
Uda Walawe is a national park well known for the numerous elephants it is home to and for its proximity to Colombo. The park is a succession of abandoned teak plantations, meadows, scrubland and “forest galleries” along the Walawe Ganga and Mau Ara rivers. Uda Walawe is probably the best site for observing wild elephant processions. These consist of very close family groupings of more than 4 generations of elephants or related adults, adolescent females and younger ones.
